Revlon entered the 1950s as a relatively luxurious nail polish and lipstick brand but it ended the decade largely as a mass marketer. This was mainly due to the success of its television advertising but it was also partly the result of the inclusion of new products that were more difficult to promote as fashion items. Revson was very aware of this problem and battled to try and maintain Revlon, or at least parts of the company, as a high-end brand. A very common emollient that makes your skin feel nice and smooth.
From my experience, out of all the Super Lustrous lipsticks that I have , this paticular shade goes on a lot smoothly than the others. The good thing about this shade is that if you apply it lightly with one swipe, it provides a good wash of color that looks completely natural… But if you build it up, it’s true purplish-pink shade will come through. This shade is a great dupe for MAC’s Up The Amp, but Up The Amp is definitely more cooler and bluer based. Regardless, this is shade is one of my Holy Grail Revlon products.
