Coleman Dark Room Technology Family Tent, 10-Person

If this tent is not completely what you are looking for, just look around on this site. This is again something very useful; so you have two doors with different designs, one is with an inverted T-shape zipper and the other is like a D-shape. Both are with panels and mesh, so you can have windows on the doors as well. The lack of a rain fly is a bit of a downer, but it is available as a separate purchase, along with being priced very well. But with these instant shelters that are now flooding the market, that frustration is virtually eliminated.

The tent is freestanding, so any additional pegging can be accomplished at your leisure (unless wind is a factor). You’ll also want to set aside some extra time to strap on the secondary rainfly should you opt to purchase this along with the tent, but we’ll talk more about that later on. It’s also worth noting that this tent can easily be set up by only one person, something that cannot be said for several of the two-person tents in our review.

I would not use such a tent in a very rainy environment with a lot of wind. Note that the panels must be closed if it is raining, so this cannot be a pleasant place if the rain continues for hours. There are two vents on the roof, but they too must be closed in the case of rain.

I wouldn’t consider this as an instant tent as it takes more time to set up. The poles are not pre-attached, you have to lay them one by one and attach them to the tent body. You coleman instant tent will also need another person to help out with the setting up. Fully taped seams apply to the rain fly on doors and windows, which feature practical velcro frame attachments.

With the entire Coleman 4 person instant tent plus rainfly costing under $120 USD, you will have a hard time finding a similar model that comes close to what it offers. Tent longevity is an important feature so you’re not constantly having to purchase a new one every few years. Coleman uses very good quality materials in their products, and Coleman 4 person instant tent is no exception. While this tent is designed with an integrated rain fly, it needs a traditional fly to keep you dry when storms hit.

In the summer months, good ventilation allows a tent to create a cross-draft, pulling cooler air into the tent from outside while pushing the hot air accumulating inside the tent back out. While the Moon Lence Instant Po Up Tent wouldn’t be our first choice for a shelter (or even our first choice on a budget), it is the least expensive instant coleman camping tent money can buy. The walls are almost vertical, so this together with such a great height and huge windows gives an impression of a home comfort. The frame is like 6 spider legs, they all converge to the central point on the roof. Both the top poles and the side poles are straight, so the walls are also straight and almost vertical.

With this in mind, I have gone through the feedbacks of this product and have summarized my findings in this article. Hopefully, at the end of the article, you will make your decision on buying the tent. After you take the tent out of its bag,  reverse the bend of the corners of the external frame, so the poles extend out and down, rather than down and up (the way they are stored). Inverted floor seams boost weather-proofing by concealing needle holes inside the Coleman Instant tent 8. The  quick set-up of  this 8-person tent does not compromise your comfort factor.

The zippers are a little lackluster, and we wouldn’t trust the guylines in any serious storms, but at a price this low, we’re willing to overlook those details. Aside from the unique airframe design, we’ve also gotta give Zempire some props for making one of the most well-ventilated tents on the market. Four massive zippable windows (and a full mesh ceiling) convert the Pronto 5 from a dark cave that’s ideal for sleeping into an open and airy screen room that competes with the best in the business.
