Keurig K-Classic Review Keurig’s Iconic Single Serve Machine

I guess the Keurig must have some sort of built in safety feature that automatically shuts it off if it doesn’t detect a hole punctured in the bottom of the K-Cup. Just used a pair of pliers and just carefully bent the needle back up again so that it’s pointing upwards. Descaling every few months will extend the life of your expensive coffee machine, and massively improve the taste of your coffee. Yes, in fact, you can use all descaling products in any brand of coffee machine.

All you need to do is just put the pod in and press the button indicating the size you want, and you’re ready to enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee. From filling the removable water tank to deep cleaning the needles and descaling, it’s all about simplicity. Although the K Classic doesn’t have an LCD keurig iced coffee maker screen, the buttons are very easy to use. This intuitive coffee maker has little lights to indicate when the water tank needs to be filled, or the machine needs descaling. The K-Classic comes with two water filters as it is recommended that this is replaced every 60 days (or every 120 tank refills).

We also curate a list of the best brands of coffee and tea, as well as recipes to make your own unique caffeinated creations. Another great feature of the K-Classic is that it has a descaling function, which helps to keep your machine clean and working properly. Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the water reservoir and other parts of the machine, which can affect the taste of your coffee and even cause the machine to break down. Descaling your machine regularly can help to prevent this from happening, and the K-Classic makes it easy to do.

In late 2018 the entire K-series of 2.0 brewers, including the K250, had been fully discontinued due to customer backlash and poor sales. The oldest Keurig brewers were labeled B-Series brewers as in the Keurig B50. These B-Series brewers gained popularity in the late 2000s and early 2010s. For a few dollars more the water tank keurig classic gets bigger meaning you won’t have to refill it as often and you will be able to refill it easier. The K-Classic has a reservoir that is sized at 48-ounces according to the box but in the real world is a bit bigger than that also. Today we are going to be looking closely at these three commonly purchased Keurig brewers.

To understand exactly what this means, we interviewed Steve Alexander, the president of The Association of Plastic Recyclers. Alexander explained that plastics recycling operates in a buyer’s market. But #1 and #2 plastics, which can be found in soda bottles and milk jugs, respectively, have historically larger markets and are more commonly recycled than #5 plastic. The Instant Pod has a one-year limited warranty that covers manufacturer defects, which is equivalent to the warranty on Keurig machines.

Use a toothpick or paperclip and run it up into the needle and unclog the slot, rinse and reassemble and it should work correctly. I tried that a few months before and I had not luck BUT someone here (cant recall who) that the issue had to do with the K-cups receiving too much pressure when it initially gets punctured. Their solution was to manually insert the K-cup and to press it down until it’s punctured twice. But the second puncture should be 180 degrees from the first one. This has solved my problem every time but I’m still going to try removing the gasket as noted by the comment below from Rita on July 18th.
