Propain’s bike lineup consists entirely of off-road capable mountain bikes ranging from enduro, freeride, dirt jumper, and downhill. The new Ekano 2 AL is the brand’s vision of an electrified freerider, and is equipped with the brand’s latest technology. It’s the first e-bike from Propain for feature the Pro10 linkage, a dual-link suspension system that evenly compresses the rear shock top and bottom, ensuring optimal suspension performance.
While it is completely usable, it is just strange, and doesn’t look right. The Equilibrium and Equilibrium Disc are also endurance/sportive-focused bikes, and come with a steel frame and carbon fork. The steel makes for a super comfortable ride, while the carbon reduces some of the weight. That’s not to say the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike doesn’t have its work cut out for it.
The Core range is based around a 6061 aluminium tube set that is butted where needed with some gentle manipulation to ovalise the down tube as it meets the seat tube at the bottom bracket shell. There are strengthening gussets where the down tube and top tube meet the tapered head tube and the seat stays are an old school wishbone style, the lack of a bridge gives ample mud clearance. Twist shifters tend to be a quick and easy way to tell the quality of a bike. Unfortunately the Incline is equipped with twist shifters. While aesthetically, the quality of the bike was fantastic, I did run into quality issues.
genesis bikeIf the pride of the brand lies in its excellent touring models, road enthusiasts will find their happiness in a quality catalog at affordable prices. The brakes are used with disc brakes on the front and rear of the bike, making for a nice look. Nowadays mountain bikes tend to be flatter and wider, however the Incline offers a more standard handlebar more like my hybrid bikes.
The Genesis Incline is the bike I have the most experience with between the two bicycles, as I ended up with the Schwinn around the time the snow began to fly, and the cold moved in. Genesis bikes became renowned for their use of steel tubing and ethos for function over form. If you’re in the market for a more porteur-style bike, the Brixton is where Croix de Fer meets cargo. Its 1×9 drivetrain keeps things simple, while the swept back riser bars give the rider a more upright position.
genesis bikeIt had many of the similar specifications, such as 29″ wheels, however was definitely not quite the quality I was looking for. However it was getting late in the year, so I wanted to bike before the snow came, so I bought it. It can be rated as one of the cheapest mountain bikes with good value for money. Smoothly adjusting the gears during the ride can have a good riding experience, especially on mountain roads with up and down hills. Mountain bikes are not just a means of transportation for daily travel. It is no different from both transportation and fitness equipment.
With its steel frame and carbon fork, asymmetrical chainstays and 650b wheels with gargantuan 50c tyres, it’s perfect if you want a bike that will take you anywhere, but don’t want a mountain bike. It is very rare to find such workmanship at such a low price. The aluminum structure of the whole body is lighter in weight, which makes it suitable for the first mountain bike. A total of 21 gears, whether climbing or road driving, is enough to use.
