Ozark Trail is all about big family camping tents on a budget, and few are as big and budget-friendly as the Ozark Trail 10 Person Two-Room Cabin. This shelter may be the least expensive in our roundup, but it still packs some sweet features worth noting.

As a disclaimer, none of the Ozark Trail tents are going to be light enough for backpacking. Most of them come in somewhere between pounds, which is reasonable considering the sizes of the shelters, but still a bit excessive to carry long distances. So, this tent brand is for car campers only. Depending on your fitness level and the number of people helping you, it’s certainly possible to carry one of these tents a mile or so. There are several to choose from, but our favorite is the Sunshine Skoolie.

It has held up to kids camping in the living room and back yard, many camping trips to desert / forest / lake environments and even survived a bear “attack” with only a small tear. Large dome tents are also an option, and although they’re a little less flashy, they have some perks of their own. First off, dome tents are typically less expensive since they have fewer total parts and less sophisticated frames. At this point, you should take the other pole and insert it into the slot on the “Y” shaped piece, then place the bottom of the pole in the opposite corner. Pyramid-style tents, which have considerable overlap with the teepee, are widely considered some of the most stable in high-wind conditions. Keep in mind that a DWR coating will likely decrease your tent’s breathability, but that’s not as important as keeping out the water. But it also faced concentrated hatred from people who deeply resented the connection readers made with the Joad family. The book faced bans almost immediately after publication in 1939 and was reportedly burned by the public library in East St. Louis, Illinois. The only radical gender ideology I worry about is the one that tells my daughters that God created them solely to serve men.
