Due to the frame materials and other factors, we estimate that this bike weighs around 30 pounds. All my efforts paid off as I took the first ride. So smooth and nice, it is like riding a dream of old. The looks and compliments come forth, every time I take it to the streets.

New this year is optional Schwinn custom-designed Cruiser Carrier. When I bought this bike, my plan was to have some fun with it, and then sell it for a profit. I was able to buy it at half price, because I worked at the bike shop. I have yet to sell it, but 15 years of ownership have been great. It’s in near perfect condition after all that time.

I was born and raised in Houston but spent a good deal of my childhood in Dallas with my grandparents. You could say Dallas was a second hometown for me. My grandparents lived in Dallas as well as my aunt and uncle, my mother’s aunt, and other family friends and relatives; all of them lived around the DFW area. Much of my time was spent at my grandparents though and I would come up and spend a good week at a time.
