School, scout or community groups can experience the nature center with customizable on-site programs. Bring your horse to ride along 19-miles of marked equestrian trails. Pass through wooded, hilly terrain, open fields and scenic views of the Huron River and Kent Lake as you observe wildlife and waterfowl along the path. A staging area is located off Dawson Road on Martindale Road.
Also, during westbound closure, single-lane on the westbound entrance ramp from North Conduit Avenue will be closed. These closures are necessary to facilitate rehabilitation of the 130 Street Bridge and will continue through November 9, 2023. Single-lane Brooklyn-bound south outer roadway will be closed from Saturday 5 am to Monday 5 am, and Monday to Friday from 5 am to 7 pm.
Our rear gate entrance (Colliers’ Gate) is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute cycle ride from Southwall Road, Deal. Please note that access is limited at Colliers’ Gate to pedestrians and cyclists, and that disabled access kent hybrid bike is limited at this entrance. Our main entrance is off the main roundabout at Sholden, near to Deal on the A258 (Sandwich Road). The roundabout is located between Cottington Fishing Lakes and the Old Lorry Farm Shop.
We’re adding new accessible picnic tables and grills to several picnic shelters throughout the park system. Work continues on installation of new concrete grill pads and securing picnic tables in arrangements that allow for unobstructed movement around them. Picnic shelter rental information will be updated on our website as changes are made. Trails vary in length from half a mile to two miles and can be combined for an even longer walk. Trails are mainly level, unpaved gravel paths with wooden bridges and boardwalks.

Please be aware, your Sat Nav may take you along small country lanes. For a more direct route from the M20 or A2/M2, follow the A256 to Sandwich and then pick up the A258.
Included in the price of every trip, you’ll have access to top-of-the-line Trek bikes such as the Domane SL 7 Disc road bike or the Verve+ electric bike. Right-lane in both directions will be closed Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. Alternating center-lane and sidewalks will be closed Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. These closures are necessary to facilitate cable cleaning. At least one lane of traffic in each direction and one sidewalk will be maintained at all times.
