2024 Genesis GV60 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Don’t count on an open end or adjustable wrench, as these nutted axles don’t have the best hardware either. The handlebars, while kid-friendly in terms of size, make the bike a touch less stable than other bikes we tested because they are narrower at 7 inches (instead of 8). If they were an inch wider, the bike would be more controlled when the child is genesis mountain bike turning or pedaling out of the saddle. A 1-inch narrower Q factor—the distance between the pedals—could also help the bikes almost-too-quick responsiveness. The Ozone 500 Exhilarate 27.5-inch Mountain Bike stands out in both style and functionality. This sturdy mountain bike with a matte paint finish is designed for exploring the road less traveled.

The range increase comes courtesy of new 19-inch wheels; the previously standard 20-inch wheels are still available. The performance model still features 21-inchers that contribute to a lower EPA-range estimate of 235 miles. Some riders incorrectly assume that a lightweight wheel with a low spoke count is difficult to keep in true.

An 18-speed Shimano derailleur with grip shifters gives you the ability to navigate different types of terrain and inclines at your own pace and with ease. When you’re riding through a rugged environment, you’ll find that the full suspension design and lightweight alloy rims will make your ride much smoother and genesis bicycles more comfortable. A new rear-wheel-drive Standard trim joins the GV60 lineup this year and boasts an attractive starting price and a maximum driving range of up to 294 miles per charge. The GV60’s mid-range Advance trim also gains 16 miles of maximum range for 2024, bringing its top EPA estimate up to 264 miles.

We found the brake assembly challenging, given Raleigh’s generic instruction book. Woom’s proprietary alloy wheels are strong enough to need only 16 spokes—versus the genesis bicycles 28-spoke rims on most other bikes. Height wise, we loved the wide adjustability of the seat, between 19.5 and 25.5 inches, which accommodates a lot of growth.

The Advanced model makes a combined 314 horsepower while the Performance trim makes 429; that number can be temporarily increased to 483 horsepower by engaging the Performance model’s Boost driving mode. With that mode activated, we launched the GV60 Performance to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The GV60’s road manners are quite refined, the Performance model’s adaptive suspension and electronic rear locking differential give it handling qualities reminiscent of the Porsche Macan. When cruising, the cabin remains whisper quiet; encounter a stretch of winding road, and the GV60 offers enough athleticism to entertain the driver and enough sure-footedness to inspire confidence.
