Kent 2600 KZR 26 inch Aluminum Mountain Bike 21 Speed for Sale in Las Vegas, NV

If a child starts on a 24 inch bike when they are 8 to 10, they can likely continue to ride it while they are 11 or even 12 years old. As your child gets older, there are fewer bikes to choose from, and they get considerably more expensive. So what do you do if the high-end bikes are beyond your budget? Fortunately, you’re not completely out of luck!

Doctor Simic tells me it’s chronic and incurable, that’s the bad news. The good news is that’s it’s damn predictable. Once a month, like clockwork, I turn into a wolf and have to kill.

Our “Best Of” list is mainly comprised of bikes we would classify as neighborhood bikes or light trail use, for which the vast majority of kids use a bike. The geometry of these bikes, however, also vary greatly. Ideally, your child’s bike will be less than 40% of their body weight. This ratio is more important when a child is younger and just learning to ride, but is still applicable for your 8 and 9-year-olds!

With smoother or narrower tires, and slightly more upright body positioning than multi-use bikes, these neighborhood bikes are fun and natural to ride. The Framed Rendal was designed to take you from the neighborhood trails to the uptown streets. With a plush kent mountain bike front suspension fork and durable alloy frame the Rendal is your ticket to adventure. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure full stopping power in any condition you may find yourself in while… Dual-hand brakes are the standard braking system on most 24 inch bikes.

The woom 5 is a solid, does-it-all bike for your budding bike enthusiast. 24 inch bikes are typically available with 7 or 8 gears that are shifted with one shifter. Unlike many adult bikes that have two shifters, one for each derailleur, kids’ bikes typically have fewer gears and just one derailleur. Having to only worry about one shifter is much easier for kids as they can simply shift up or down without having to worry about which hand and which shifter to use.

As with all kids’ bikes, within a given wheel size category, the minimum and maximum seat heights of 24 inch bikes can vary. The average minimum seat height of a 24 inch bike is around 26″ while the maximum average is about 31″. Eric Leitz joined South Kent School in fall of 2023 as the Head Coach of Mountain Biking. Questions are welcome and encouraged prior to bidding. I was getting closer to having things dialed in. I reached the point where I had to spend some more money on this project so I rode my Allant over the bridge to Duluth. Now I should be clear, I didn’t strictly need this bike.

The dealer sticker told me that the bike had originally been sold by Stewart’s Wheel Goods, just over the bridge in Duluth. Even so, I ran the purchase past Christine and she said OK. I called the guy up, met him at the corner, took the bike for a test ride and bought it. I didn’t even try to dicker on the price because $15 is a screaming deal. Christine and I get around town by biking and walking and in walking and biking around I’d seen this old Schwinn World Sport locked to a lightpost a half a block from our house. The bike had been locked to the post for at least a month.
