The patented Easy Peak technology makes setting up the canopy a breeze and provides more stability when compared to traditional pyramid-style frames. The cross bars extend laterally from the hub to create rotational support much like a full cross-truss frame, but the Eagle Peak does so with much less material to keep it lightweight and portable. As a result, it can withstand windy conditions much better than other pyramid-style canopies.
The vented peak is one of the most unique features of the Eagle Peak outdoor canopy, and in our opinion is the best-vented roof that we have reviewed in recent memory. This is because they use flexible plastic in the leading edge to prop up the vent and form an arch, allowing the air underneath to easily escape even when there is no breeze. This is in contrast to other vented canopies where the canvas lays loose and only lifts up while the wind is blowing. A mesh netting is located underneath each vent to keep the material tight and connected which is important for maintaining its shape.
Lastly, the weight bag set is in our opinion the best portable anchor set available today. Each 1680 denier polyester bag will hold up to 25 pounds of sand, rock, or dirt and is perfect for any surface or party. Many fairs or outdoor markets require vendors to anchor their shelters and you cannot use stakes if you are setting up on the concrete, so weight bags become a necessity. We love this feature because it won’t nip at your fingers and you can do one leg at a time. With the constant movement of the sun throughout the day, it’s nice to know that you can easily adapt the height to maintain shade underneath. You’re also getting 3 height options, so you’re not limited in the elevation that you need.
We just completed a review of the Ozark Trail Tumbler line, which is not only budget friendly but also well performing. There’s a cupholder on the right arm and a built-in cooler on the left that can hold a six-pack of drinks (or more, if you ozark trail canopy dare). This is perfect for camping, the backyard and any outdoor socially-distanced summer events that need a little shade. The feet areas of the legs are also something to mention, as they are shaped like pads instead of a simple pole.
Heavy-duty cross truss frames are made of thicker steel than pyramid-style canopies and weigh about 50lbs on average. Leaving your canopy tent up will almost certainly reduce the life of the shelter. For these reasons we highly recommend placing it back into the stroage bag after each use. A 10×10 canopy tent provides 100 square feet of shade and enough space to comfortably accomodate up to 6 chairs. By comparison, smaller 5×5 and 8×8 canopies are more portable but can only shade 2 to 4 people comfortably.
