Ozark Trail Screen House Tent, Blue, 13 ft x 9 ft x 84 in

Greed, optimism, stinginess, and materialistic guilt thrashing together in a dance of futility that leads straight to the checkout counter? To make matters worse, sometimes I’m so ashamed of the purchase that I can’t even bring myself to return it. You either need six people or twelve arms to hold the thing together when assembling. Then the screening doesn’t fit right over the frame.

I bought two of these tents new last year from a yard sale. The were never opened by the seller. We have only been using one since. After a pretty bad storm at the beach, a few of the poles broke…so we are moving onto the next new one and selling the first for parts. Sadly it blew over over in a storm last night breaking two corner pieces and the middle X broke.

Conditions of items will be either LIKE-NEW, OPEN BOX or DAMAGED. We do our best to describe the items and their condition, however, all sales are final. Childhood memories of failures with Tinker Toys came flooding back.

Wasn’t even able to get the tent set up in a mild wind before one of the corner plastic parts broke. I purchased my tent a couple of years ago, but time passed and just got it out to put it up.

Bottom of screen doesn’t even tough the ground. This tent is only $47 at Walmart, however that is not the point. ozark trail canopy The hubs on the tent and the construction of the design are worthless. A light misting rain and it’s all over.

A mild wind came along and the screen house is so “sturdy”, that it was knocked down and one of the corner braces broke. We bought this screen house at an auction for $5. Great for our ozark trail canopy buffet line for family camping. A gust of wind probably around 50 MPH took it down. Broke all four corner hubs and bent all 1b poles beyond repair. We loved it when it stayed together.

I am sorry that I ever purchased it. Hopefully I can find a replacement part. I contacted Wal-Mart (1-800-WALMART) to see where I could get a replacement pole for the tent. They are idiots and seemed like they didn’t want to help me by supplying me with the manufacturer’s phone number. Now unable to get all the parts I need to make it worth repairing. It is of poor design, in that this could be avoided using 2 more yellow, curved roof poles which would not allow the rain to puddle on the roof. My husband and I were in the screen room, keeping the rain from puddling for more than a half hour. We will not replace the 3-way hubs again. The campground received a moderate rain on the second night and the roof collected water in several places, causing the screen house to collapse.

Some items come direct from suppliers. If so, we’ll tell you a estimated delivery date on the product page and at checkout. My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”.

We are looking for these pieces if anyone wants to sell. We have a love-hate relationship with this screen tent. But, the slightest wind or rain and the whole thing comes down because of flimsy roof design. After multiple storms/fall downs, the screen portion has suffered some massive wounds. The rest of the process was funny too, with wimpy frizzy guylines, and inexplicable bits of plastic that are supposed to tighten them.
