Based in Xiamen, China we have the advantage of being at the heart of the carbon fiber industry. It took only about 1⁄2 hour to assemble and included the seat, 2 pedals, front handlebar, 2 reflectors, and front wheel installation. It was well packed and took a bit to clip off the bike with all the cardboard protection, which did a great job of protecting hyper mountain bike the painted frame from unintended blemishes. It’s a good starter bike, however it should be noted it’s not a perfect fit for everyone. It’s really a boys bike since I am 6’1″ and it’s just small for anyone over 5’6″-5’8″. Buying this made me realize you should go to a good bike shop and get fitted for a bike for your size and style of riding.
It won’t be the end of the world if you are riding on some unfavorable trails and you have water or mud splash up on the bike, but the manufacturer recommends that you do not leave your bike in the rain or exposed to water that would allow the battery to become saturated. Like all other larger batteries, it’s hyper bicycles recommended that you throw the battery on the charger every 4-6 weeks so that you don’t allow it to become completely drained. Lithium-ion batteries can experience performance issues once they get to a state of having no charge, so a quick charge every so often will keep your battery healthy long term.
It’s not that I am a lazy person, it’s more that I was considering how I planned to use this bike. In my mind, I was envisioning a cold November evening having hunted all day and facing a ride back to camp with all of my gear. The wrench built into my multi-tool is made for tires, so it is slightly too large to fit and adjust the handlebars because they used another type of bolt like screw for it. This is a minor problem because I just added a wrench to my backpack repair kit and moved along. Any off-road surface will grip the knobby tires to give you a safe and secure ride, but still provide a smooth, effortless ride on paved surfaces. One feature about the Hyper MTB Ebike that I really like is that the battery is removable. I think Apple started us down a path of non-removable batteries that a lot of electronics manufacturers have adopted but, the trouble with that is that it isn’t user friendly. With the Hyper MTB Ebike, you can charge your bike with the battery installed or removed, which I personally love.
The bike is easy to ride as long as you adjust the seat, oil the chain, and keep the bike maintained, you shouldn’t have too many problems with it straight out the box. It is well assembled (for the most part) and I don’t think the bike will break or disassemble on me while I ride it. It is an aluminum frame and the tag that was attached to the bike says that it can hold about 275 lbs or so. I was a bit surprised by this because the manufacturer should have sent us the part since the bike was just ordered brand new and we had the order number and receipt. Most products have at least a 30 day warranty that covers basic damage or defects, and the seat not having the adjustable quick release lever for the is clearly a manufacturing defect because it was missing a key component to building and riding the bike, without it you literally cannot sit down to ride the bike.
