Mongoose Men’s Malus 26 in Fat Tire Bike

I have been looking at high rise handlebars or bar risers to help with the riding position. Depending where you are there are Hubbers who deal in good quality second hand parts who could sort out any niggles you have on the Tyax for not much money. I had one for awhile that I didn’t ride very much, turns out I hate riding in the snow anyway.

Get some hoopty riser handlebars. Just gives you a better workout. I have a mongoose bicycle 7 speed Shimano thumb shifter and aluminum mountain bike pedals on the way.

I’m a large 26 but can also do a medium depending on the geometry. My front chainring was also worn, but the source of the sound was the worn teeth on the cassette. Depending on the components that you have it can mongoose dirt bike be expensive. I paid R3260 to replace the whole 2 x 10 Shimano drivetrain including the front and rear brake pads. Which sounds like a lot of money until you look at the price of a new SRAM GX cassette, lol.

You’ll be dropping the BB by about 20mm or so, but that’s not a train smash unless you’re already grazing rocks with your cranks & chainring. It’ll also reduce the inertia on the rear, as long as you’re not going heavier with the back wheel. That will make the rear more “lively” by virtue of it being easier to change direction, but not by much. Another by-product of that is that you’ll be able to lift the front more easily as it’ll have slackened out the HA by dropping the rear axle relative to the front axle. The huge SE handlebars are sweet.

The stock brakes kinda suck too so I was thinking about upgrading to Shimano hydraulic brakes in the future. Only thing you’d need to retain is the same cassette (for chain length and gearing compatibility) Hub width, axle size and disc size. Is “mullet” in this context referring to wheel size? Mix of 29″ and 27.5″ fitted on one bike. A password reset EMAIL will be sent to the email address you provided within 30 minutes.
