Find the ultimate relief from the warm, summer sun and loads of fun for the entire family at our Splash ’n’ Blast. Coast down two, 240-foot twisted water slides or romp through the spray ground with palm trees, serpents and cannons that spray water. Whoosh through the snow and practice your fundamentals at our snowboarding area. You’ll find a designated snowboarding hill near the Orchard picnic area. To 10 p.m.; renters must be off the lake and out of the park by 10 p.m. Boats must be removed on or before this date so that the water level can be lowered to the winter level.

WILDWING TRAIL – 1.75 MILESA 1.75 mile trail of compact gravel, with wooden boardwalks and wooden bridges. This trail has shaded sections, full sun sections, areas that are steep, and areas that follow close along the water of Wildwing lake. This trail features an extensive boardwalk that provides scenic views of the marshlands along the eastern shore of Wildwing Lake. From the boardwalk you can also spot nesting great blue herons and great egrets in the heron rookery on the island in the lake.

Playground features include climbing structures, slides, spinners and transfer stations. Equipment is on engineered wood fiber (wood mulch) safety surfacing. If I had to guess I would say, maybe 70% of the people at Unbound are just trying to get to the finish with a time that they are proud of. Maybe 20-30% consider themselves kent bayside cruiser diehard racers at the pointy end. This genre is supposed to be this new space where everybody’s invited, everybody’s welcome, and it’s supposed to be inclusive.

Take advantage of a snowy day as you race down the hills, from beginner to advanced, at Kensington Metropark. For the youngest downhill enthusiasts, we even offer a “bunny hill” lined with padded trees. The sledding hills and beginner snowboarding hills are located at Orchard picnic area. This area offers a nearby picnic shelter with tables and grills.
