This bike is quiet, so I have been able to get close to some of the wildlife roaming in these parts, (wild hogs, turkeys,etc.). I ride this bike almost every day and the battery has not given out on me so far. I have used this bike to help round up my neighbors cows from the orange groves when ever they decide to take a tour. I am very satisfied with this bike and I recommend hyper bike it to anyone who likes to ride a bike without all the hassles of having to do all the peddling yourself. There are instances where that may be somewhat accurate because there are certainly some questionable bikes I’ve seen on the shelves at big-box stores. So I would ask them to define “good bike,” because the meaning of that can vary greatly from person to person.
Admittedly, neither of us are in peak physical condition, sitting around the 220 LBS mark for personal weight, but the bike has a rider capacity of 275 LBS which is more than enough. Even if we were to load a bag for the day and our bows or crossbows, we wouldn’t even come close to hitting the maximum hyper mountain bike weight capacity. Beyond the rider weight, you can also use a trailer to take the strain off of your back and pull your gear behind you. I recently purchased this bike for my son’s 7th birthday, and he absolutely loves riding it. He constantly asks if he can use it, even if it’s late at night.
The biggest problem I’ve seen is improper assembly and setup. Even a big-name bike can give a miserable experience if it isn’t set up properly. And sadly, this is an area in which most big-box stores are lacking. I weigh 190lbs and on a straight road, I get up to 19mph which is way faster then what I need. I go so many places on this bike that I would have never gone to if I had to do all the peddling. I can move thru the orange groves around here so much easier then before.
The reality is that each new feature has to either increase price or take away from something else to compensate. That’s how bikes end up with a front disc brake and a rear rim brake. Most people don’t ride on mountain bike trails, so make sure you avoid bikes with features you don’t need. I was a bit surprised by this because the manufacturer should have sent us the part since the bike was just ordered brand new and we had the order number and receipt.
