At least it is easy to clean and provides bug protection. It worked well that night and I got some ozark trail backpack rain in but nothing serious. Now a few years later I erected it in the backyard just for fun.
One day into a 3-day festival, I returned to camp to find both of the large poles snapped right in two. They claim they are weather tested, but I feel they don’t include rain or wind as elements of the weather. I could make a better shelter out of cardboard boxes and scotchgard. We must have had some wind but not tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I just wish who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it.

From a positive perspective, the lightweight design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location. From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter. The included carrying bag does not have wheels to aid in transportation, but at only 29 lbs. We don’t find that to be a noteworthy drawback as the nylon handles and shoulder strap work just fine in carrying the tent.
I think that this 35 dollar tent could outlast the expensive ones. Mine is red and black and the rainfly covers everything except for a tiny place to get in. I purchased this tent to take to music festivals and such, because it is like a small house.

It’s an easy way to spot a Z-Shade canopy and one that we think adds dimension to the top and that highlights the steeply angled edges. If you a experienced camper like myself you would know that you have to use a tarp to cover your tent so that the water does not get inside when it rains. And you have to make sure that the zipper is closed well and also sprayed with a water repellent. But unfortunately, they are many morons out there that don’t know the first thing about camping. When something says “waterproof” it does not mean it will not leak. It is simply a way to keep you from direct weather contact.
