Shopping for sleeping bags is overwhelming. I did a good bit of research before purchasing ours. Of course, I wanted something that would keep us warm. Even with clothes, a thin liner and a fleece liner inside it, the bag could not dispel the cold. There was zero insulation properties as far as I could tell. It did not even get down to 40, more like upper 40s at the most and probably low 50s when I used it. If they wanted to skimp on fabric, it should have been used on the outside and bottom of the bag! Not on the interior where comfort is the main issue.

The first night out it was less than 14 degrees F, and I had at least 50 nights under 40 degrees F.
