Ozark Trail 2-Person Dome Tent

Ozark Trail 15 person instant tent with 3 rooms is a summer camping family tent which offers more than 23 m² of the floor area. So this is a luxurious camping option with a very affordable price. My personal favorite ozark trail tent is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent. It provides a ton of space in an easy-to-carry package that sets up in minutes AND provides three rooms that give the entire gang loads of space to spread out. That means it has pre attached poles, and setup can be completed within minutes. Each of the cabin’s three rooms includes its own privacy divider, and each is large enough to fit a queen-sized mattress as well, so it’s a great option for large groups or families.

This is perfect for campers who don’t want to be woken up to the sun’s rays at 5 in the morning on a nice camping trip. Drape the rain fly over the tent so that the side with the pole sleeve is pointed down against the tent. Flex the ridge pole and secure each end by slipping it into a grommet that is built into the rain fly. Assemble your tent poles by snapping the nylon sections into the metal tube-shaped connectors. Thread the stakes through the tent pole sleeves that are sewn into the seams of the tent body. Center the poles so that the tent resembles a spider’s web.

It has a tremendous amount of features and can easily be set up by one person in just a few minutes. A super important factor when considering tents is the setup. Take a look at the floor plan, it’s actually got five rooms if you count the center room. This tent is for groups or families that want to travel with the entire squad, but don’t want to have to sleep next to each other. The final tent I’ll review today is Ozark Trail’s largest – their 14 person, 4-room tent.

The rounded sides make this tent well suited to withstand strong winds. But at only 17.6 lbs this is one of the lighter tents that can fit an entire family. Setup may take a bit longer, but that’s ok, you’ll benefit from the extra space in your car.

The low profile also makes the tent very stable in windy conditions. The presence of windows, fly vents, and a mesh roof offers good ventilation and makes this a good choice for summer as well. For backpackers, the 4-Season 2 person backpacking tent is an affordable option with 38 square feet of liveable space and additional storage space. Apart from a great design, it offers good stability and solid waterproofing. The tent is also cabin style with straightened and steep walls, and with the peak height of 84 inches (213 cm). So this is a family camping tent at its best, with huge walls and dual external doors.

The last time I personally used the tent, I had a cot, a camp chair, and grand daughter’s air mattress and sleeping bag and a small plastic camp table inside. Still had plenty of room to move around and store my and my granddaughter’s gear (she was about 14 then). I had already decided this was it’s undoing when the final time I pitched it in the yard the fly ripped. In the morning we woke up to a STILL warm tent (grill still running of course) and 20 inches of snow on the ground and about 10 inches still on the tent. That day it all melted and tent stayed dry inside while the fabric dried very quickly. Shape wise most s either come in a cabin or dome shape.

The fabrics are often thinner and less technical (regular polyester rather than ripstop, etc.), and the poles are pretty much always made from cost-saving materials like fiberglass and thin steel alloy. Oddly enough, Ozark Trail’s most basic, base bones shelter takes the title of most durable. We chose the Ozark Trail Clip & Camp because unlike larger cabins with plastic hubs and countless poles, this traditional two-pole dome has the fewest number of parts that can potentially fail. Our favorite Ozark Trail tent currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin.

We had no qualms about marking it as the best of the lot. The one downside with integrated rain flies is the lack of ventilation and temperature control. We had great weather – not too hot and not too cold – but it did rain for about 5 minutes.
