This Coleman Cooler Is Up to 25% Off

This cooler feels like you can roll it across anything without the handle straining or bending, or the wheels breaking. The RTIC 65 weighs 36.5 pounds and measures 32 by 17 by 18 inches coleman camping chair on the outside. Unlike several other competitors, the RTIC 65 has two drainage ports for quick cleaning and draining. RTIC also sells a 45-quart version if you need something smaller.

Though it doesn’t have wheels on it, the Igloo MaxCold Cooler offers notably better performance for the same price, and while I haven’t tested them just yet, there are wheeled versions available, too. You could also think about saving up for the $400 Rovr Rollr 60 Cooler — it’s awfully expensive, but it offers a rugged, feature-rich design complete with 9-inch inflatable rubber wheels. But if you’re willing to settle for middle-of-the-road performance (and if you want to navigate that road without any heavy lifting), then Coleman’s cooler is a justifiable pick. You will enjoy a bump up in ice life and toughness with this cooler but it also comes with a bump up in the asking price.

The drain plug also lacks a rubber seal, and while we had no issues with our unit during testing, many user complaints suggest that this plastic-on-plastic seal has an eventual expiration date. Additionally, the handles attach via short plastic pegs in small plastic holes, which translates into a sketchy connection under a heavy load on handles that already bow alarmingly with this amount of effort. These simple soft-sided coolers are surprisingly resilient and should last for a few years without major issues.

Beware, the narrow plastic handles tend to dig uncomfortably into the bent fingers of whoever takes this cooler for a stroll. However, if you decide to fill the Coleman to the top with ice and soda, you may soon be wishing you hadn’t! So depending on how you pack your Coleman, you may have no problems wandering through the city park with it, or you may have a tough time merely loading it into the back of a Subaru. Still, the Xtreme wasn’t nearly as strong a performer as the equally priced Igloo MaxCold Cooler, so keep shopping if you just want something affordable that’ll keep your drinks cold the longest. But if you just want something affordable that’ll roll from point A to point B and get the job done as far as cooling is concerned, then the Coleman Xtreme isn’t a bad pick. The Coleman Xtreme is extreme in name only — it’s just a typical plastic cooler that comes with wheels on it.

The design and convenience of the Party Stacker are fantastic as you can easily stack them on top of each other to take up hardly any space. But for this convenience, you have to deal with poor insulation and very lackluster ice life. It doesn’t fare well in the sun for very long but it is very reasonably priced. The semi-recent update to the design resulted in more attractive styling and subtle ice life improvements. It can be an adequate personal cooler for an afternoon outing but may struggle beyond that. A very user-friendly and cheap backpack that retains most of the mobility of a traditional backpack.

With plastic wheels and a telescoping handlebar, the Coleman Xtreme Wheeled Cooler offers mobility and plenty of capacity — but the performance was just so-so. A. All coleman coolers are easily cleaned with warm water, mild soap and a towel. External patterns and color schemes and even attractive metal coolers are part of their vast selection. So for those of you who want something that looks as good as it performs then you should be covered. That being said, they do still keep their highly-regarded and conventional cooler designs such as the Coleman Chest mostly unaltered to appeal to the old-school crowd.

It has an adequate amount of storage space for a small excursion but don’t expect this to hold ice for very long. The Xtreme Series has recently undergone some updates and the new look is much more attractive. Also, the thicker insulation and higher quality materials result in quite good ice life for the size and price. That being said, the lid can be a bit stubborn to open and close and screws used on the hinges can also strip prematurely.

Soft coolers are available as low as $20 and as high as $70-$80. Coleman has been around for more than 120 years and has earned its reputation of making coleman camping chair quality products for outdoor activities. When you shop for camping supplies, you’ll see the Coleman brand on everything from camping stoves to coolers.
