Huffy 26-Inch Deluxe Men’s Cruiser Bike

When I moved back to Aspen in 2006, I shipped Arianna. She has held up well, even through the cold winter months. She has a bit of rust on the fenders and the seat has cracked, but that was easily fixed with duct tape.

A stylish pouch is tucked behind the saddle with enough room for your keys, phone and other essentials. The special details begin with the custom sculpted aluminum head tube badge featuring the Cape Cod design. Proprietary chrome Cape Cod insignias adorn the bike, with an anchor featured on the chrome crown fork. A ship’s wheel design is featured on the chain wheel, while a wood-grain finish is used on the chainguard, rack and other areas of the cruiser.

But I went to a few bike shops and all the cruisers cost between $300 and $1,000. If you think getting around Aspen is difficult in your car, try living in Los Angeles. During the five years I lived in Santa Monica, an 8-square-mile beach town on L.A.’s west side, I think I put only about 1,000 miles on my car. I took her up Independence Pass this week but she has just one gear and bogged down going uphill. It was still a pleasant ride, though, especially considering how the serious road bikers stared as they passed me on their expensive bikes in their ridiculous clothes.

The look is clean, without the clutter of cables and gears. The ride is simple — no confusion with handbrakes, huffy cruiser bike or with shifting multiple speeds. Dual density grips and two-tone pedals add to the comfort, and to the style.

As you pedal, your legs can fully extend forward, which helps to eliminate wrist, arm, neck and leg fatigue. While you’re seated at a stop, both feet can be kept flat-footed on the ground. In addition, the padded seat is designed to be a little farther back and with a lower center of gravity.

Arianna has held up remarkably over the years, especially considering the abuse I have subjected her to. She has been left for days in the rain, sleet and snow in both California and Aspen. She has been vandalized by homeless people and has taken a few spills on late-night rides home from the bars. We believe in offering the very best value, quality, and selection.

Imagine your daughter or grand-daughter cruising the campus on this beauty! And the wire basket and adjustable rear rack are perfect for a backpack, iPad, or stack of books. With the double density grips and pedals (I can even wear sandals without any foot slippage) it will be a comfortable ride and cheap mode of transportation. As you can see, I love to ride to our Farmer’s Market on Monday’s and Friday’s. Also, my best friend from Pennsylvania, Ms. Lucy, is hoping to move to Solivita after retirement — so I’ve been using my Women’s Huffy Cruiser to go house hunting recently. In addition to that, I ride on the miles and miles and miles of perfectly manicured bike paths strategically placed throughout my 55+ gated community.

Beyond serving as a practical mode of transportation, Arianna has given me plenty of good times riding along the Pacific Ocean on the famous strand that stretches from Malibu to Manhattan Beach. Now she takes me on long rides along the Roaring Fork River on the Rio Grande Trail. I may live in an active-adult community, but this grandma isn’t over-the-hill yet! In fact, I feel much younger whenever I’m on my Huffy Cruiser. I’ve added a few photos of my Huffy hangin’ out in Solivita (which means ‘Life in the Sun!’) where I live. I was forced to buy Arianna after a homeless person stole my other Huffy (it’s customary in Santa Monica to blame virtually everything on the homeless).

Grab coffee on the ride and carry it in the convenient beverage holder on the handlebar. The Huffy Cape Cod cruiser is like a classic car, filled with custom details large and small. The metallic blue Huffy Cape Cod cruiser is design for comfort, convenience and fun. The convenient front rack is designed for easy use with a large area to carry items.
