Ozark Trail 8 ft x 6 ft. Portable Sun Shelter with UV Protection UPS 50+ NEW!!

I broke out the Ozark Trail Sun Shade on my first outing this season. The setup was relatively straightforward. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the flaps on the bottom are designed to be sandbags for use at the beach. I appreciated the directions being attached to the storage bag so they did not get lost or misplaced.

Whether you’re trying to beat the cold inside or outside your tent, the heater is easily carried by its handle and just big enough to provide relief for one or two people. I’m looking into getting a small tent for my first camping excursion. However, I know that I don’t truly want to sink $100 into a tent. I love the tent’s size but has little leaks in the corners. I have used it quite frequently and rate this average. The waterproof is good and has endured many a rainstorm.

They claim they are weather tested, but I feel they don’t include rain or wind as elements of the weather. I could make a better shelter out of cardboard boxes and scotchgard. We have ozark trail screen house never been able to sleep in it and makes a poor storage room. I am 67 yrs old and have used Ozark Trail tents for years, but this covered screen dome turned out NOT TO BE A TENT.

I have owned several in my day but this one is very durable. I was skeptical when I originally purchased it. Now I tell everyone this is the one they need. I really like the height and room of this tent. The extra pockets that just out with a zipper are a nice addition. There was a procedure for pre-dampening it to somehow activate its waterproof properties, total BS.

We, like some others, know that tents are NOT waterproof, so we sprayed the seams etc. with water replant. When we reached the beach everything went great, first night 30 mh winds. Next night still calm, took cover off and loved looking up at the night sky.

I have pitched the tent twice in my back yard and found that I could pitch it by myself in about one hour. I watersealed the seams, as per the instruction sheet inside the carrying bag but I have not been rained on yet. It sucked the trip the camping everything because the damn zipper broke and I got beast up on by mosquitoes and bugs. My experience is buy Coleman equipment not yours. I had purchased the item about eight months before getting to use it.

The only reason I bought a new tent was for more space, which this tent provided at a resonable price. Setup was typical for this size tent – definitely a two person job. We planned on camping for a week and ended up only camping for five days because of the ozark trail sun shelter tent’s incapacity to keep us dry. I bought this tent and was very dissatisfied, two off the poles snapped right where they connect in the silver part. I would not recommend this brand to anyone. This is the first time to use this tent so it was brand new.

Every single one of our camping experiences has been ruined because of the OZARK tent. I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down.
