It’s often raining and it seems like this will also make a great shelter out of the rain. Upon initial set up in the backyard, I was very impressed. I have only bought Coleman tents in the past and have been very happy with them. Everything was great until it come a Florida rain Saturday. We would have been better off with a bed sheet. This thing has holes on the seams as big as a ink pin head. So we had to pack up everything wet and listen to my kids complain about how much they hate camping!! I will never buy another product from you or another tent from WAL-MART. It’s light enough that I don’t mind putting it in my backpack and it takes up almost no ozark trail backpack space at all. I hauled both of my sons along with beach gear like boogie boards, coolers, chairs, and endless amounts of sand toys. The Wawona 6 is more complex to set up than a classic dome-style tent like the Wireless 6, but not by much.
I appreciated the directions being attached to the storage bag so they did not get lost or misplaced. It was helpful that I happened to have a hammer to pound the eight stakes into the hard ground. I am all about saving a few bucks with Walmart’s camping gear.
There is no way we can camp with this tent, if it would rain it would ruin everything. I bought this tent and was very dissatisfied, two off the poles snapped right where they connect in the silver part. I would not recommend this brand to anyone. This is the first time to use this tent so it was brand new.
I can fit six people in with guyer plus the front side zipper pockets are helpful. I would recommend that if you want to get a family sized tent in this category, to check other tent makers and purchase there. There was a procedure for pre-dampening it to somehow activate its waterproof properties, total BS.
