But unfortunately, because I’m not tall (I’m 5’3″), I couldn’t get the rainfly up on my own, and that’s where I got stuck. I am now going with a four-season tent though as I’ll be traveling the country and who knows what weather I’ll run into. Usually I share a 2- or 3-person tent when backpacking with others to split up the weight, but as mentioned we each needed to be self-contained so I brought my 1-person tent from Ozark Trail. Rating and Summary The Core Straight Wall ozark tent Cabin Tent is an incredibly spacious tent. Its 10-person version has an impressive peak height of 90 inches, and I couldn’t even reach the top of the tent! (I’m 5’3″, ,by the way.) Another great thing about the Core Cabin Tent is that there are no obvious flaws…. I don’t think this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent will do very well against strong winds.
I am preparing for a camping trip of 10 days and nights down in Florida where it rains a lot and the wind sometimes is pretty strong so I am wondering if the fly will stay put. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the fly gets ripped off. I think I will go shopping this week for another tent that I feel better about. Otherwise I like the tent but do not trust it to hold up in severe conditions. I have the JW-7607 which is a 2-3 (read that as two) person tent. It has held up to kids camping in the living room and back yard, many camping trips to desert / forest / lake environments and even survived a bear “attack” with only a small tear.

I will write down my personal experiences with their tents and everybody else’s I find on the internet as well. On top of that, all of their tents are affordable, come with an electrical cord port, and set up in minutes. Ozark Trail tents are competitive with CORE and Coleman Tents, but in our opinion ultimately fall a little short of both brands in quality and consistency. It has a tremendous amount of features and can easily be set up by one person in just a few minutes.
