Walmart Ozark Trail Camping Chairs on Rollback!

Walmart added over 100 new markdowns on camping gear, including chairs, tents, lanterns, flashlights, coolers, and so much more. We rounded up the 15 best deals, with discounts of up to 80 percent, from brands like Ozark Trail, Warmounts, and Igloo. Continue reading to see what we’re eyeing at this major sale event. The Ozark Trail XXL Director chair is a good, if somewhat basic, director’s style camp chair offered by a company with a solid reputation in the market.

The 4-pound, steel-framed REI chair has an attached carry strap, rather than a carry bag (which the other chairs have). After a couple of camping trips, we concluded that a strap is more convenient than a bag—it’s quicker and easier for a kid to grab the chair and go, without parental help. This wider and longer set will provide support for larger adults with the same upright style as the traditional bagged camping chair. Has been rated for 300 pounds, but can hold more weight comfortably. Double cup holders are also extra large to hold bigger drinks. These Ozark Trail camping chairs are perfect to take with you to kids’ sports games, camping trips, or to simply have them around so you can lounge in your backyard or for guests when having cookouts.

Compared with cheaper chairs of its kind (like those from Walmart), the REI Co-op chair functions better and will last much longer. The Chair One has a 600-denier polyester and mesh seat and aluminum legs, which are linked with shock cord (like what you’d find inside high-end tent poles). The Helinox Chair One is the best chair for anyone who needs a lightweight, portable chair.

Testers consistently ranked this chair as one of the most comfortable models (typically second to the Yeti Trailhead, which costs almost four times as much). The few testers who didn’t like it often preferred the Kijaro Dual Lock XXL Chair, which costs a little bit more but provides a roomier seat. Testers with knee and hip issues reported that when they were getting in and out of this chair, its armrests felt more stable than those of any other model. So they felt comfortable leaning onto the frame for extra support. With its spacious seat width, this chair also offers more room than any other model we tested. And its backrest extends higher up than those of other chairs; this is nice for taller folks or people who like a good slouch with some head support.

It would be overselling it to call this a handsome chair. That term rarely applies to camp chairs, but it’s not bad-looking. Your only color options are red or blue, both with black trim. For many owners we’ve talked to, it’s been an essential chair for watching sporting events or any other time you’ll be in the direct sun for hours, like cookouts, picnics, birthday parties, and field trips.

The fork is old-school tech, like early ’90s tech that relied on friction to control movement, and the results are similar, or perhaps even worse, since there is actually less friction in this one. What this fork does best is add comfort to the ride at low to mid-trail speeds, not control. After years of intermittently using the Renetto chair, one staffer said it has held up great. Helping build, maintain, or promote the Ozark Trail is a rewarding experience, and numerous opportunities are available to volunteers. Our Mega events provide free camping, free lunch & dinner, live music, a giant bonfire, and fun raffles for kids and adults.

The cup holder was a bonus and would fit the majority ozark trail tumbler of standard water bottles, cans and thermos flasks. There is no additional storage or a second cup holder but for the low price point, I wouldn’t have expected that nor is it needed. We ranked Value for Money as a 5 as this really is exceptional value considering the the build and comfort of the chair.
